Tampa Wedding Photographer Tips for Looking Amazing on your Wedding Day

Tips for Looking Your Best for Your Wedding Photo Session

It’s one of the most important photo sessions you will ever schedule and, in some cases, the only one: Your wedding photo shoot. Naturally, you want to look your best for these pictures that capture your big day. Family and friends will view these images for decades to come so you want the magic to be captured perfectly. So, how can you look your absolute best for this all-important event? We’ll provide tips to help you look like a wedding superstar.

Choose the right photographer.

This may seem like it has nothing to do with your appearance, but choosing the wrong photographer can make or break your wedding photos. Find a photographer you trust and are at ease around. Additionally, thoroughly look through their portfolio and read reviews. Only choose a photographer who seems perfect for your big day.

Find a great location.

Your wedding photos are focused on you and your partner, but the location can really add that extra touch to your images. Ask your photographer for advice, but in the end, you must be comfortable with the surroundings that will be captured forever in your wedding photos.

Whiten your teeth and practice smiling.

You want to be confident when you are standing in front of the camera and having white teeth will help amazingly. When you flash your smile, you want your teeth to be as bright as possible so consider going to a dentist for the best results. But if you want to try a more economical route, research DIY kits you can purchase at your local retailer. And it may seem silly but practicing your smile will help you hone the exact look you want in your pictures. Find a mirror and with your newly whitened teeth practice that smile.

Opt for a hairstylist and makeup artist.

Even if you think you are a wizard with a makeup brush, finding a seasoned professional is still a good idea. Remember, these are your wedding photos, you want them to be perfect. A professional stylist and makeup artist can help make you look amazing and also take the pressure of styling your own look completely away. If you can’t afford a professional, consider asking a skilled friend or family member to give you an assist.

Don’t overindulge on adult beverages pre-session.

Having one too many can make your wedding photo session transform into a disaster session. Not only will drinking too much make it harder to pose properly and follow the photographer’s cues, it can also change your appearance. Blood shot eyes and slouching posture are not looks you want to immortalize. Know your limits and try to moderate. This is also why many couples go straight to their photography session after the wedding and before the reception.

From hiring the right professionals who will help you look stunning to practicing your bright smile, a little preparation before your wedding photo shoot will pay off.  Now you’re ready to make the perfect lasting impression.
