Angela Clifton Photography Celebrating 10 years as Tampa Photographers

It's truly hard to believe it's been 10 years since we began Angela Clifton Photography. We've been reminiscing about the early days and how we came up with the name for the business. As many of you know, it's my (Dawn's) first name and Brent's middle name. Now, why we did that to ourselves - I have no idea! We find ourselves explaining this to people on a daily basis. It's always good for a laugh as we say, "There is no mysterious Angela Clifton." 

Coming up on this big anniversary, we've been thinking of all the amazing moments and events we have been present for and have had the honor of capturing. It's truly stunning to think we've clicked the shutter approximately 875,000 times! We've gone through 6 camera bodies, numerous flashes, lenses, memory cards, computers, etc. We've driven about 240,000 miles, and gone through quite a few tires and 4 cars. 

Over these past 10 years, we've been privileged to capture some incredible moments. We've captured the love of the newly engaged - snuggling, hugging, kissing, dancing... often we found ourselves smiling as we edited these romantic and sweet engagement photos.

It's not uncommon for us to photograph the weddings of our engagement photo session clients. We find engagement sessions are a great opportunity to get to know our couples better; getting to know what style of photography they prefer, the poses they like and don't like, and their personality. Knowing our clients really helps us to capture those special moments that will bring a joyful tear to their eye for years to come.

The next major, life milestone is pregnancy. We love capturing the glow of expectant moms and the joy of expectant dads. There is always a special beauty to be captured during a maternity photo session, and we love using the gorgeous parks and beaches of this incredible area we call home as a backdrop for these cherished photos.

We often capture newborns before and after their arrival into the world. Once during the maternity session and then again during their debut - their newborn photo session. There is nothing like a newborn session - the exhausted yet happy parents and their adorable bundle of joy, sometimes a sleeping bundle of joy and sometimes a wiggling, crying bundle of newborn baby. Never a dull moment during a newborn photo session.

The majority of sessions we have done over these past 10 years are family photo sessions. We have clients we've captured 8, 9, 10 sessions for them over the years, documenting as their family size and kiddos grew. We've captured important family moments such as communions, heading off to prom, family reunions, and memorable tribute sessions. We often hear from wonderful clients like these year after year: the Adams Family, the Hafners, the Broomes, the Macionskis, the Reyes, the Tuckers, the Courtneys, the Cremers, the Brasseales, the Flynns, the Bakers, the Mueckes, the Mitchells, the Mackies, the Aguayos, the Marlers, the Hydes, the Malivuks, the Manninos and so many more.

And then there are the celebratory senior portrait sessions. We love working with seniors, they are so excited about graduating and what their next chapter will include. We strive to capture the unique personality of each senior we photograph. We've worked with amazing seniors that have gone on to do incredible things with their lives. And we've even captured engagement sessions and weddings for some of these seniors - as everything comes full circle - Moments that Last a Lifetime.

So, please indulge us a moment as we think about the last 10 years of Angela Clifton Photography and of our lives. We couldn't have done it without all of you. We'll continue to laugh, maybe shed a tear or 2 as we think of all we've been blessed to experience so far. Here's to 10+ more AMAZING years!!
